The Recurvatum Knee Ankle Foot Orthosis is a configuration designed by one of the orthotists of YAAD ORTHOPEDICS. It consists of an AFO configuration attached to an anterior shell on the distal two-thirds of the thigh with a novel knee joint design enabling exterior adjustment of knee angle.
The RKAFO was developed as an answer to severe genu recurvatum associated with distal pathology.
